3. Gandhi played a significant role in Indian politics from an early age, working closely with her father and later with her husband Feroz Gandhi.
4. She was known for her strong leadership style and decisive actions during her time in office, including implementing the Emergency, a period of martial law in India from 1975 to 1977.
5. Indira Gandhi’s assassination on October 31, 1984, by two of her Sikh bodyguards was a tragic event that shocked the nation and led to widespread violence and unrest.
